Who Knew That Changing Diapers Could Easily Mean Advancing Your Education?

It’s true. All thanks to the Pell Grant. Here’s why:

Knowing the Requirements of the Pell Grant

There are actually four requirements when qualifying for the Pell Grant solely on your own income merits, and this is one of them. Kids. That’s right: you have to have your own children! And then instantly you qualify for up to $5,775 in funds to advance your education.

Not many know that, because they think those grants come and go the moment you get out of high school and enroll in college for the first time. Not so. Life can take precedence, you have a few kids, you’re working a tough 9 to 5 just to make the bills, and you STILL didn’t have any time to get that degree finished up.

Perhaps it’s wondering if you’ll have the additional funds to pay for tuition, room and board (well, perhaps not board, if you have kids). With the Pell Grant, you no longer have to worry. Simply click here, get matched to a school offering the Pell Grant, check your income, and see how much you’ll receive!

It’s That Simple. So What Are You Waiting For?

This is your own children we’re talking about…. Advance your education, make a better life. For you. For them. For the future. Sign up today. You have nothing to lose.

So Are Merchants and Retailers on the Ball About the New Credit Card Chip Technology? The short a…

So Are Merchants and Retailers on the Ball About the New Credit Card Chip Technology?

The short answer is NO. But #ITPN  isn't sweating, and neither should you. After all, this transition from magnetic strip to computer chip will be relatively seamless except for the headaches many businesses will have to face as they struggle with the question: invest in the new technology, or face the prospect of dealing with credit card fraud? Tough question….

As it stands, only about a quarter of all merchants in the U.S. utilize those new chip-card readers. That data comes from MasterCard, of course. But it's been mentioned that it could take as late as the end of 2017 before we start seeing all stores, businesses, gas stations and maybe even ATMs utilizing the new technology successfully.

Long time to wait…. But at least you have nothing to worry about until then!

Credit Card Chip Technology: It’s Going to Take Awhile

Keep in mind that this is going to be a DRASTIC change as you find your plastic incorporating credit card chip technology. But that’s a good thing!

Credit Card Chip Technology: It’s Going to Take Awhile

As seen here, the expectation is people may be wary about the whole credit card switch thing from magnetized strip to tiny computer chip (especially with credit card fraud always being a problem) despite these three reasons why we shouldn’t be scared. We’re protective over our plastic! However, fear not: this isn’t a change that’s […]

One Tax Deduction You Never Considered for 2015: Teacher Expenses

Yes, this one’s for you, teachers and educators. All the hard work you do in managing the craziness that is a classroom with ADHD-stricken kids, problematic bullies and the occasional honor student pays off tremendously as long as you do remember that the IRS supports you 100%. We all do. Education is key.

It Would Then Make Sense That Tax Return Education Is a Must

So we’re giving you the keys to financial success in the form of a tax deduction you might never have heard about. Tax returns can be a headache for anyone, not just teachers — this, however, can make the payoff that much sweeter than any Granny Smith or Honey Crisp out there. As you, the teacher, consider your convenient 2-hour tax return without hassle, consider this: you can actually write off your expenses for your classroom. That’s right — up to $250 in sweet tax deductions. That includes:
  • Pencils
  • Notebooks
  • Pens
  • Paper
  • Books
  • Crafts
  • Paint
  • Crayons
  • Calculators
The best part is you don’t have to itemize anything. Just know that if you have a receipt, you can verify it, and perhaps scan it for your own records, send it in, and have the IRS approve it (which would be a breeze), then guess what: you’ve effectively deducted up to that amount on your tax return. That’s serious tax preparation, so get started with your 2-hour tax return right now.

You, the Teacher, Don’t Have to Juggle Taxes, But….

Just don’t forget about getting that apple from the student on the first day of school. All the tax returns in the world can’t make up for that!
